My name is Indra. I run a (tea) shop and also study. I'm in ninth grade now.
This picture was taken because paan (betel nut and leaf) and snacks are available here. Some guys have come to the shop and are singing Bhojpuri folk songs while the kid dances along--I took the picture especially because of this. Here paan (betel nut and leaf) is prepared with tobacco, slack lime, katha and other things (a red paste made from the bark of the katha tree)--milk, biscuits, chocolate and sweets are available for kids. This shop is in Arampur, in the Daiganj neighborhood.
I took this picture because this is a tea shop. You can get things to eat and drink here. You can get namkeen (salty snacks), pakoras (vegetables fried after being dipped in chickpea flour), bharfi (a sweet made from milk), gulabjamun (a sweet served in thick syrup), bundiya (a "drop-like" sweet) and lounglatta (too complicated to explain). The boy here is making bundiya. This shop is in Arampur. For these reasons, I took this picture.
